Bringing people together to solve the challenges of rural Maryland

Real change only happens when an organization makes a strategic decision to go directly to the source to discover the real issues and works with the people who really understand what’s going on to solve problems.

That’s what the Rural Maryland Council does every day.

We need to attract a diverse group of people to share their stories and their challenges in underserved rural communities. Are you passionate about equity and creating real change in rural Maryland?

Our work doesn’t stop there. We’ll provide you with the financial resources and opportunities to connect with legislators and like-minded people in the state who can create policy and help you put the pieces together to create real impact. Ready to roll up your sleeves to get started?

Policy Making

RMC creates opportunities for you to meet legislators and public policy makers so you can let them know what’s going on and how they can support positions to create positive change.

Making Connections

Throughout the year RMC hosts formal and informal gatherings for community leaders, organizations and businesses to meet and discuss issues affecting their communities, and more importantly, how to work together to create solutions.
